BEGAN DURING THE PANDEMIC
When asked how he conceived this new album, Geoff responded, "As the epidemic turned into a lockdown for me and my family, I soon became concerned for all my friends; and wondered how they were getting along. We were all isolated, and although we could stay in touch with each other, we went for months without SEEING anyone. This created a vacuum that needed to be filled. There didn't seem to be any other defense against the virus, so I resolved to hunker down at my home studio and wait out the storm. It wasn't very long before I was neck deep in an ocean of music that flooded my brain and I had to open the faucet.
The result of this 10-month isolation was a thumbs up from my wife. She said it "sounded fresh - no one does your style of music anymore." My cat Charlie, who hung with me for all those months in the studio rolled around a few times and gave me a contented purr. These responses were good enough for me, so I packaged it up and here it is…a tribute to my friends and family who have supported me throughout the many stages of being a songwriter."
