In his book, “Ten Feet Tall And Bulletproof” Tritt noted that his induction into Country Music's historic Grand Ole Opry was one of the three greatest things that ever happened to him--the others being his first platinum album and winning the Country Music Association's Horizon Award.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA--“The Big Bang” Concert Series with acclaimed country artist Travis Tritt airs on AudioNet, August 20 and the Premiere Radio Networks August 18-24. Within the two-hour concert special, Travis talks about music, friends and his fortunate life with Billboard’s special correspondent, Jim Bessman. In fact, click here for the feature.

Tritt’s successful writing style combines the classic Country music he was raised on with the exciting mix of Blues and R&B which has come to be known as Southern Rock. Tritt’s roots in Country Music extend back to age three when he would snap his fingers to Roger Miller’s classic hit, “King Of The Road.” By the time he reached fourth grade he was singing the song in class, accompanying himself on guitar. Tritt writes most of his songs from his experiences. His huge hit, “Here's A Quarter, Call Someone Who Cares,” which is on his “It’s All About To Change” album was written the night he was handed his second divorce papers.

“When you can write a song that ... sounds like the person singing it has been reading [your] mail - when you have that kind of a connection with the audience as a songwriter, you’ve done your job. And it moves somebody. And I think that for me to continue to be able to do that I have to continue to be able to write about things that I know about. [And what I know about] are the things that I've experienced personally.”.

Travis Tritt’s concert is brought to you by the National Music Critics Association from the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. “The Big Bang” Concert Series, produced by AtlanticPacific Music and syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, will also be archived on the AudioNet site for listening “on-demand.”
